Youth Empowering Society (Y.E.S.) helps young people in Cleveland build the skills, habits and confidence they need to move toward independence.
We combine clear lessons, real-life practice and trusted partners so students and young adults can stay in school, prepare for work and take their next step with support.

Young adults ages 18–24 in Cleveland/Cuyahoga County: apply for the planned January 2027 cohort.

Sponsor a young adult or a full cohort so more 18–24 year olds in Cleveland can rise with Y.E.S.

Impact
We measure success through the "One Million People Know Y.E.S." campaign reach goal and through program enrollment, completion and employment outcomes. Y.E.S. interacted with over 50 young people in 2025.
Join the Movement
Y.E.S. is preparing its first Cleveland cohort for 15 young adults ages 18–24, planned for January 4–March 26, 2027, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Eastern. The planned location is Shaker Heights Main Library, Malvern Room; remaining room dates still require confirmation. The program develops life skills, financial capability, communication, conflict resolution and career readiness. Launch remains subject to funding, staffing and final arrangements. Shaker Heights Public Library provides meeting room space as a community service. The library neither sponsors nor endorses this event, individual, or organization.
Become a Sponsor
Sponsor a participant for $1,000, with an installment option. Our funding goals are $9,000 minimum to launch and $15,000 for the full target cohort of 15 participants. Sponsorship inquiries help us plan and do not process payments directly.
